One Day as a Lion is a collaboration between Rage Against the Machine front-man Zack De La Rocha and former The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore. They are an alternative hip-hop duo from Los Angeles, California.Their first EP, One Day as a Lion was released on 19th July, 2008. The name of the group is taken from the infamous 1970 black and white photograph captured by legendary Chicano photographer George Rodriguez, featuring a centre framed tag on a white wall in an unspecified section.

Onuinu (read: on you, in you) is the moniker of Portland via Cleveland producer Dorian Duvall. Started in the summer of 2010, Duvall has graduated from making bedroom beats to studio time with Jeremy Sherrer (Dandy Warhols, The Gossip, Hockey), tours with YACHT and Tycho under his belt, and a full-length release out this fall. Mirror Gazer is out September 11 via Bladen County Records/Bad Cop Bad Cop, and “Happy Home” is your introduction to Duvall’s self-coined “disco-hop” sound.

Onyx is a hip hop group from New York City. Originally formed in 1988 by Fredro Starr, Sonsee, the late Big DS, the group later added Sticky Fingaz, Starr’s cousin, in 1991, managed by Diamond Cut Entertainment’s Milton Lynch. The group was formed in 1988 and Onyx released its first 12” single, “Ah, and We Do it Like This”, in 1990. The song sounded very jazz influenced, much unlike their later work.

Dr. Oobot the subsonic scientist makes lots of noises, often times collaborating with other members of the strange and venerable The Glitch Mob (Los Angeles). Generally Ooah aka the Mob Boss brews audio concoctions consisting of banging drum beats that range anywhere from eighty-five to one hundred and ten beats per minute, squishy gut-wrenching bass frequencies, harmonic poly-rhythmic melodies and bloopy bleepy clicks and clacks.
